What you will learn:
- What is knit fabric and the different types of knit fabrics
- The different types of seams and finishes used for knitwear
- How to setup your own domestic machine to sew knits
- How to construct the dress (step by step demonstration), including attaching neck binding, armhole cuffs and hemming.
- How to use a serger/overlocking machine as well as coverstitch machine
Features of the Fiji Dress:
With the use of princess lines and contrast side panels, this dress gives a slimming silhouette without sacrificing comfort and style. The inclusion of a belt cinches the waist, accentuating your figure and adding a touch of elegance to the ensemble. This is a fun pattern that allows you to play around with different color and print combinations to create dresses for day and night.

Suitable for:
Anyone who loves and/or wants to learn how to sew knitwear. Beginners are welcome.
How to choose your size:
Take reference from the Body Sizing image to decide the best size of pattern to use. We have also included the finished garment measurements so you can also decide if you prefer a more fitting or looser tee based on the measurements given. (You can choose to make an adult or kid tee!)
Things You Need to Bring Along:
All project materials, tools and equipment will be provided at the class.
A soft copy of the Fiji Dress pattern will be emailed to you after the class so that you can make more dresses at your own leisure!
+Class may be rescheduled if the minimum number (4) is not reached.
You will receive an email to choose the fabric print for your dress upon registration.

In the event that you miss a workshop or part of a workshop series, no refund will be made.
Should you wish to reschedule after, please email us at admin@yuzuandpear.com and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Relevant fees and charges apply:
- $30 rescheduling fee per workshop session. Subject to availability.
- Additional cost of $50/hour will apply if we have to offer a custom timing make-up session.
If you are unable to attend due to illness or unforeseen exigencies, please provide us with the supporting documents. We will schedule a complimentary make-up session.
