What you will make:
A modern twist on the classic samfu top. Featuring the iconic stand collar and frog buttons, its overlapped front opening adds both style and ease of wear. Designed with flattering darts and elegant sleeve flounces, this blouse complements all body shapes. Perfect for the Lunar New Year and versatile enough for any occasion—simply style it your way!
Patterns for bust size 80cm to 116cm are available. (Please get in touch with us first prior to registration if your measurements do not fit the bust size above.)
What you will learn:
- Fabric layout and cutting
- Attaching mandarin collar
- Attaching sleeve flounces
- Attaching frog buttons
Suitable for: Anyone who loves and/or wants to learn how to sew. Beginners are welcome
Things You Need to Bring Along:
- 1.5 yards x 60" woven fabric OR 2 yards x 45" woven fabric (more if the pattern needs matching). Recommended: poplin, broadcloth
- Matching thread
- Fusible interfacing (for collar interfacing)
- A pack of bias tape (around 3 yards)
- 3 frog buttons
- 6 pairs of 8mm press studs/ sew-on metal snap buttons
All other sewing tools & equipment will be provided at the class.
A soft copy of the pattern (with all sizes) will also be emailed to you after the class.
