The Coral Kebaya Top is inspired by the kutu baru kebaya, recognised by its distinctive front panel and layered neckline. This version offers a fresh interpretation of the traditional figure-hugging silhouette, with shaping darts that gently flatter the body without feeling restrictive.
Reimagined for modern wear, it features three sleeve variations:
- sleeveless
- flare sleeves
- ¾ sleeves
With your choice of fabric and sleeve option, the kebaya top can be styled for a range of looks and occasions.
Designed to be easy to style for everyday life, it retains the elegance of the kebaya while feeling approachable, wearable, and relevant today.
Size: Available in 7 sizes, for bust size ranging from 80cm to 104cm (31 ½" - 41″). See Size Chart here. The finished garment measurements are also available in the last photo.
Made for: Woven fabric
Materials required:
- Light to medium weight woven. Recommended: poplin, broadcloth, batik
- Matching thread
- Lightweight fusible interfacing
- Five 12mm (1/2”) buttons
- (For Sleeveless Variation) A pack of store-bought bias tape OR add 0.5 meter/yard to yardage requirements below if cutting bias strips from the main fabric.
