What you will make:

The Coral Kebaya Top is inspired by the kutu baru kebaya, recognised by its distinctive front panel and layered neckline. Reimagined for modern wear, it features short, flared sleeves for a lighter, more comfortable feel that is well suited to today’s weather. It is designed to be easy to style for everyday life, while still carrying the elegance of the kebaya.

In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the essential techniques to construct the kutu baru kebaya with clean finishing.

Patterns for bust size 80cm to 104cm are available. (Please get in touch with us first prior to registration if your measurements do not fit the bust size above.)

What you will learn:

  • Fabric layout and cutting
  • Constructing a kebaya shawl collar
  • Apply interfacing
  • Sewing diamond darts
  • Sew buttonholes and buttons
  • Attaching sleeves

Suitable forAnyone who loves and/or wants to learn how to sew. Beginners are welcome
