What you will make: 

The Pearl Samfu Top is a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional samfu, thoughtfully adapted for modern everyday wear. This design retains defining elements such as the mandarin collar and understated silhouette, while introducing a relaxed, boxy fit that feels effortless and current. The extended shoulders create a soft, structured line that flatters a wide range of body types.

Patterns for bust size 80cm to 104cm are available. (Please get in touch with us first prior to registration if your measurements do not fit the bust size above.)

What you will learn:

• Fabric layout and cutting
• Attaching mandarin collar
• Attaching frog buttons 

Suitable for: Anyone looking to try something new and crafty, absolutely no sewing experience required!

Things You Need to Bring Along:

• 1.5 yards x 60" woven fabric OR 2 yards x 45" woven fabric (more if the pattern needs matching). Recommended: poplin, broadcloth
• Matching thread
• Fusible interfacing (for collar interfacing)
• 2 frog buttons 
  

All other sewing tools & equipment will be provided at the class. 

A soft copy of the pattern (with all sizes) will also be emailed to you after the class.
